Who must be the EU responsible person?+
For products from outside the EU, the importer, an authorized representative, or a fulfillment service provider must act as the responsible person. Their name, address, and contact details must appear on the product or its packaging.
What information must be displayed?+
Products must display: manufacturer details, EU responsible person details, product identification (model, batch, serial number), safety warnings, and instructions for safe use. Online listings must include all this information plus product images.
What products are covered?+
All consumer products placed on the EU market, whether new, used, repaired, or reconditioned. Excludes: medicinal products, food, feed, living plants/animals, transport equipment, and antiques. Sector-specific CE directives take precedence where applicable.
