The GPSR (Regulation EU 2023/988) requires all consumer products sold in the EU to be safe and have an EU-based economic operator (manufacturer, importer, or authorised representative) responsible for product safety. Market practice often calls this the 'Responsible Person'. It took effect on December 13, 2024.
