What Happened

Following the UK's post-Brexit transition from CE marking to the UK Conformity Assessed (UKCA) mark, UK Trading Standards and OPSS (Office for Product Safety and Standards) began enforcement against products bearing only CE marks. Cross-border sellers using Amazon UK FBA saw listings suspended for electrical products that lacked UKCA declarations of conformity. HMRC border checks also intercepted shipments with non-compliant markings.

Sellers continued importing CE-marked products without obtaining separate UKCA certification as required after Brexit transition periods ended.
