Sellers on Amazon.fr faced listing suppression for failing to provide French EPR registration numbers.
What Happened
Amazon progressively required sellers on Amazon.fr to register with CITEO and provide their UIN number. Sellers failing to comply faced listing suppression across multiple EPR categories including packaging, electronics (WEEE), batteries, and textiles. French authorities (ADEME) can impose fines up to 15,000 EUR per product category.

Cause
French AGEC Law requires producers and importers to register for EPR in each applicable category.
Resolution
